Some of the main ways that communities and culture face discrimination and othering from people suffering from mental health is that its a more serious problem than people are ready to admit. The mental health stigma that, at least the united states, has around people who suffer from anxiety, depression, and etc. is a reflection of how people like to believe that other people’s problems and illnesses are their own shortcomings that they choose not to fix, just so they can feel superior. We as people need to get better at trying to understand why people go through mental issues with their health instead of trying to point the finger and why someone is not trying hard enough to do better.
